My Childhood´s "National Holidays"!(Fiestas Patrias)

Hello,my dearest guys!
Today,I am going to talk to you about a very good memory about this issue, which dates back five years ago(if my memory serves me well).Well, I was living in Casas Viejas(Puente Alto) at that time,so I spent that day in my former house.I remember I was with my grandparents,my mom,my sister and her dad, and some family members;actually,I was with my cousins and my aunts and uncles, and we all made meat empanadas.I also remember we had a clay oven, which we used to cook them.I played videogames with my cousins in my playstation console, while we eat empanadas;I ate five or six actually.Meanwhile, the rest of my family was talking and listening to folk music. We were all very happy;all of us.We shared a lot with other people and celebrated those Fiestas Patrias,as they shouldbe:with your family and very enthusiastic.I really enjoyed that day, because I could share with the people I love, and had fun all that day. That´s way,it was so memorable.
However, comparing my view of Fiestas Patrias as a child with the current one,I can say that it doesn´t change my optimist point of view, despite not celebrating national holidays or Fiestas Patrias(it celebrates the first government reunion in Chile, because Fernando 7th was arrested by Napoleon[you can correct me if I´m wrong with this point]),because the national identity revolves around this event, and much people often confuse national holidays with our independence(our independence took part on February 12th,1818 actually).I also think that I didn´t really have to celebrate Fiestas Patrias this year, because there are a lot of problems in our country(specially in this "bicentenary" of government reunion), which have not solved, even in the centenary. Therefore,I believe we must do something to change the real situation in Chile, specially in such important event as the "bicentenary".
Well,I hope you to had had a very good Fiestas Patrias day and amused quite a lot
BYE!!!

Why do people have to demonstrate?

Hello Guys!
You know?I´ve seen how people have to demonstrate to enforce their rights trought demonstrations(specially the students demonstrations),and I can say that I agree. We must always fight against something that oppresses us to reach a common good,so that we can expose the real problems that a country has;and I believe that its action is justifiable. In fact, they want to establish a better and free education policy, and fight against educational profit in general. However,as I can see, they ignore that there are many problems in our country, and education is not just the only problem.Besides, their fighting metods are becoming obsolete, because the chilean government knows them and that´s way knows how to ruin their right to demonstrate.I can also say that they are fighting for just one thing, and don´t want to see the real problems that Chile has(poor health, bad laws, partial justice,a bad government,etc.).I believe that they must renew their methods of struggle, and fight together alongside doctors, public employees and all people in general against a common cause:government mismanagement, which makes our country suffer actually.
Refering to my position about the demonstrations,I have a divided opinion, such as I explained.I agree with them, because they can expose the other side of a country;however, they have old development ways(marches for example)and keep an inertia which must be removed.Besides, there are a lot of ways which they can improve their concepts, such as silenced "funas"(a special way of boycott which is organized without attracting attention and attacking a flashpoint),imposing dialogue which it exposes all the problems in this country directly to the mr.president,etc.Anyway,we must open our own minds about how to deal this, and how we can solve all these problems which affect everyone equally.
Because of the previous reasons,I decided not to take part to these demonstrations, and I shall not, unless there is a new concept of demonstrating, and this new concept goes and acts for the solution of our real problems in this country.
I hope you to understand my position, such as I accept yours.
Sensibly.
A pluralist and sensible person.

A book is not just a book!

Hello!
Well,I haven´t read a book a long time ago actually, but just papers(for an academic bussiness) and the newspaper, which I read it all weekends. However, I had read a good book four years ago(if my memory serves me well).
Anyway, this book was "Viaje al miedo"(journey into fear),which was written by Eric Ambler (a famous brittish writter).I chose to read it because I was really bored and hadn´t anything good to do,so I decided to read a book so I don´t get more bored and bored;in fact,I like to read quite a lot.Well, this book is about Graham,a specialist engineer in weapons design, who travels to the port of Istanbul for bussiness and never used a gun. However,he starts a journey for saving his life when he accidentally gets involved in a mafia case about drugs and guns.He has to face his biggest fears and use for first time in his life a gun.Anyway,it was a very good book.
I like this book because it mixes suspense with action, and goes into our biggest fears, which are embodied by a common man.Besides, all its characters are directly involved in the history and always have an important input, which makes it more attractive. In fact, because of these reasons,I really enjoyed to read it!Well,I always read in my restroom, even if I have to study, and it´s my favourite place because I feel comfortable there.
And finishing this theme,I believe that reading is a good hobby, because you exercise your mind and brain, you get more information and you can make opinions, you can get more intelligent and you can get more memory than before.Besides,it helps you to avoid many problems, such as memory problems, poor abilities to express, bad speech, limited vocabulary, etc. So,why not to start a reading habit?Don´t be lazy.
COME ON!!!
